How It Works
A Film Sprint is a short-turnaround filmmaking competition, with a set start and end time, with required elements that each submission must include to qualify.
Each Film Sprint starts with a live kickoff.
After the kickoff meeting (via Zoom) and a brief opening ceremony, the teams will have their selected genres announced! Those wishing for a random draw will have their genres picked at that time.
Once all genres have been selected, the teams will be sent their team packets. These contain required elements, such as a prop, line of dialogue, or character that each team must incorporate into their film. The packets will also contain helpful documents, such as storyboard templates.
From that moment, teams will have until the end of the competition window to write, film, and edit a short film with a specified runtime. All films must be uploaded by the deadline to be considered for an award; all films received will be screened.
All creative work on the films MUST be completed within the timeframe of the competition. No writing or filming may take place before the competition window.
All teams will be given complete rules at the start of the round.
